December 31, 2009, an end to a decade, a year, and a month! It's been an exciting year filled with many new things. Two new dogs for us and a new pregnancy. For our friends and family, they've welcomed new pets, new babies, new homes, new educational endeavors and even new relationships. It's been a year and even a decade of blessings.
Christmas was a wonderful event this year. Zach and I went to bed on Christmas Eve eager for the next morning. Neither of us slept well as we had the child excitement about the next day. We couldn't wait to see Kaitlyn's face looking at the tree and the presents. We were not disappointed! She was full of ohhs and ahhs and wows! It made Christmas so exciting for us to see her excitement.
We spent yesterday at the Humaintarian Bowl, where Idaho (our alma mater) was playing in their first Bowl game since 1998 (that was the year Zach was on the team). Vandal Nation was loud and proud. It was wonderful to see the sea of black and gold instead of the standard blue and orange we usually get in the treasure valley. In what is being dubbed by ESPN as the best Bowl game of the year, thus far, Idaho went for the two-point conversion to win the game with just 30 sec. remaining. And....they made it, to win the the game! It was a highly charged, highly emotional game! We then went out to dinner with some friends from Spokane and the whole restaurant erupted in the Idaho Fight Song! What an amazing experience that was!
We've had a restful break. Accomplished a few projects and hung out with a few friends. We are looking forward to the upcoming year and all the excitement that it will bring. We wish all of our friends and family a very Happy and Healthy New Year!
