Summer Time

Hanging out in Alaska

Visiting Spokane

Hiking in Coeur d'Alene

Summer is in full swing for the McGee's. We spent the last three weeks traveling to Alaska to see Katrina's family and just returned from Spokane where we visited Zach's family. We all had many firsts. Kaitlyn's first long plane ride, she did great. Our first rode trip with baby and dog. 7hrs in a cramped car was a lot, but we survived. Kaitlyn's first hike. Zach's first fish on a fishing charter. We've had a bunch of fun in the last month. We are glad to be home and relaxing from our busy travels.

Kaitlyn is now 10 months old. In just two short months my baby will be one year. She has had many incredible developments over the past month. The day after we took her in for her 9 month checkup she started crawling. She mastered climbing stairs while in Alaska, and has become a pro at pulling herself up. She loves to get into everything, especially paper and anything she can destroy. She loves bananas and toast and cheese puffs. She is eating mostly table food now, as she is not a fan of baby food any more. I think her biggest problem with it, is she hasn't quite got the knack of using a spoon, and anything that goes into her mouth must be put there by her. So independent. She is getting along great with the dog and vice versa. I think Oz is pretty close to potty trained, which is exciting. Kaitlyn has also started down that road as she has gone poopy twice and potty once in the toilet. I've been impressed, hopefully she'll train early.

We are enjoying our summer and trying do as much as possible. Enjoy yours!
